January 2022, the world championship moves into the hybrid era and discovers the new Rally1 which replaces the WorldRallyCars introduced in 1997. Sbastien Loeb and Sbastien Ogier are at the start of Monte-Carlo, each at the wheel of a Rally1 different. Following this superb fight between the two Sebs, Loeb ended up winning the 2022 Monte-Carlo Rally after his opponents puncture in the penultimate special. He thus won his 8th victory at the Monte-Carl for his first rally at the wheel of a Ford and for his first rally co-driven by Isabelle Galmiche! He also becomes the first winner of the hybrid era in WRC, a historic moment in many ways!
